Oden Brown Jordal (obituary posted yesterday) and wife Arlene (Storey) Jordal were buried at the Union cemetery in Lee county, Illinois.

'Infant' Jordal - burial

Here is a photo of the marker for an infant born to Arlene (Storey) and Oden Brown Jordal on October 21, 1942.   The infant died the same day and was buried at Union Cemetery in Lee county, Illinois.

The child was the grandson of Elizabeth (Brown) and Ole L Jordal, great grandson of Isabelle Cordelia (Halvorson) and Lars Olson Jordal.    His great great grandparents were Sigri Gunnersdatter and Ole Larson.

Here is the marker for LaVern Amos Jordal, buried at Union Cemetery in Lee county, Illinois.

Myrtle L (Jordal) Wrigley - burial

Myrtle L (Jordal) Wrigley, granddaughter of Sigri Gunnersdatter and Ole Larson was the youngest child born to Isabelle (Halvorson) and Lars Jordal.    Myrtle was born August 21, 1892 in Lee county, Illinois (possibly Milan township, DeKalb county, Illinois).

On June 3, 1915, Myrtle married Earl Claude Wrigley.   Earl was born February 25, 1893 in Lee county, Illinois to Cecelia (Berga) and Charles Wrigley.

Earl passed away in August 1964 in Lee county, Illinois.   Mrytle, the last surviving child of Isabelle and Lars Jordal,  passed away November 3, 1976 in Lee, Lee county, Illinois.

The Wrigley family were buried at the Union Cemetery next to Calvary Lutheran Church in Alto township, Lee county, Illinois.

Susanna (Jordal) Johnson - burial

Susanna Johnson, granddaughter of Sigri Gunnersdatter and Ole Larson was born March 27, 1877 in Lee county, Illinois to Isabelle (Halvorson) and Lars Jordal.

Susanna "Annie" married Arthur O Johnson on December 15, 1898.  

Susanna passed away on October 29, 1956 in Lee county, Illinois and was buried at Union Cemetery.

Arthur was born December 2, 1876 in Lee county, Illinois and died June 21, 1961 in DeKalb, Illinois.   Here is a closeup of his inscription.


















Susanna and Arthur had an unnamed child that was also listed at the bottom of the monument with a date of death of April 24, 1900.

Ole Jordal - burial

Ole Jordal, grandson of Sigri Gunnersdatter and Ole Larson was born December 31, 1875 in Lee county, Illinois.

Ole married Elizabeth 'Lizzie' Brown on March 11, 1903.

Having spent his entire life in Lee county, Ole passed away on June 10, 1950 and was buried at the Union cemetery next to the Calvary Lutheran Church in northern Lee county.

Elizabeth was born October 21, 1882 to Martha and Albert Brown in Illinois.   Lizzie died March 1970 in Lee, Illinois.

Ole was the eldest son born to Isabelle (Halvorson) and Lars Jordal.
