The plot of land owned by Ole Jordal, the grandson of Sigri Gunnersdatter and Ole Larson is located in quadrant 13.   Ole Jordal was the eldest son of Isabelle (Halvorson) and Lars Jordal.

Martin Lars Jordal - baptism

Here is the First Lutheran Church of Lee, baptism record* for Sigri Gunnersdatter and Ole Larson's grandson, Martin Lars Jordal (entry #14) born on June 13, 1844 and baptized July 20, 1844.




































Martin was the 5th child born to Isabelle (Halvorson) and Lars Jordal.  




































The witnesses (above) included Martin's uncles, Gunder and my great grandfather, Omund Jordal.

Here is the 1920 US Census for Sigri Gunnersdatter and Ole Larson's son Omund Jordal (my great grandfather).


















Omund was living in Milan township, DeKalb county, Illinois with wife Ingeborg (Maland) and all 12 of their children, Celia, Olai, Harvey, Martin, Omer, Ernest, Silas, Agnes, Kinnie, Gordon, Lillian (my grandmother) and Evelyn.

Here is the 1920 US Census for Sigri Gunnersdatter and Ole Larson's granddaughter,  Mabel Leila Edwards.


















Mabel was living in Lee, DeKalb* county, Illinois with husband Arthur and son Arthur Jr.

*The village of Lee is in both Lee and DeKalb counties; the western portion is in Lee county and the eastern portion is in DeKalb county.

Here is the 1920 US Census for two of Sigri Gunnersdatter and Ole Larson's grandchildren, Sylvia (Jordal) Oleson and her younger sister, Elizabeth Jordal.

















Sylvia and Elizabeth were living in Cerro Gordo township, Lac Qui Parle county, Minnesota with Sylvia's husband, Gilbert Oleson and their children Ordine, Gordon, Stella and Minerville.

Alfred was the son of Isabelle (Halvorson) and Lars Jordal.

1920 US Census - Susanna (Jordal) Johnson, Simon Jordal, Anna (Jossendal) Jordal and Gilbert Jordal

Here is the 1920 US Census for Sigri Gunnersdatter and Ole Larson's grandchildren, Susanna (Jordal) Johnson, Simon Jordal and Gilbert Jordal.     Sigri and Ole's daughter-in-law, Anna (Jossendal) Jordal is also included on this census from Milan township, DeKalb county, Illinois.


















Susanna (Anna) the daughter of Isabelle (Halvorson) and Lars Jordal was living with husband Arthur and their children, Blanche, Levi and Walter as well as Anna's younger brother, Simon Jordal.

Two households away were Anna and Simon's mother, Anna (Jossendal) Jordal, Elling Winterton, her companion following the death of husband Gunder as well as Anna and Gunder's children, Gilbert, Anna Elizabeth, Martha and Edith.    Anna (Jossendal) Jordal's mother, Anna Jossendal was also living with the family.

Another family living nearby was the family of Seward Sanderson and his son, Lawrence Sanderson who were part of the Finnestad bloodline.
